Play dates just got a whole lot cooler thanks to Kmart Playdate Place

I was recently selected to be one of the Kmart Playdate Place Showcase bloggers and I am honored and excited. With my husband attending numerous conferences around the country and his upcoming demanding MBA student schedule I am spending more time alone with the kids than ever.

Thankfully we have a nice little yard and the weather has been very cooperative. The children are old enough to enjoy sandboxes, trikes, and other awesome toys therefore we will spend as much time playing outside as possible.

I enjoy the Kmart Playdate Place website because there are articles and blog posts that feature a ton of play date ideas and inspiration. My favorite thing about the content is the diversity of the contributors. They are moms, dads, Latinas, African-Americans, finance professionals, and more. There is sure to be something of interest for everyone on the site but most importantly it got me out of my play date rut. Usually I invite friend's with children over and let them go wild in the toy basket. It gets old quickly.

There is a terrific newsletter that contains play date ideas, prizes, and much more. It is a really innovative idea and could not have come at a better time for me. Since we are new to the neighborhood I thought hosting a play date was a great way for Pweezy & Cmoney to make some new friends. My kids aren't very old so I still consider myself a new mom so forgive me if I am wrong but what better way to make friends than to lure them to my house with cool new toys? :) I also signed up for the birthday club. Pweezy will be 2 in less than a month. Can you believe it?

Check out the site and let me know what you think and stay tuned because I have a phenomenal play date and giveaway planned for this week.

UPDATE: Please make sure to check out my friend Becca's play date post. Becca is no slouch. She does everything to the max and is sure to impress.
